Rome: The Eternal City of Italy

Imagine going to a place where everywhere seems like heaven…….yes! that is Rome for you. It’s a beautiful city called “Eternal” and it deserves such a sweet name. As you walk through the busy downtown, ensure you observe every side attractions of the ancient ruins, modern buildings and everything in between. You’ll feel that there’s something eternal about the place.

Rome is super-busy and it offers many activities to do (e.g. bars, restaurants, clubs, parks, museums, schools, jobs, universities, stores, e.t.c.). The sweet part of it is that strolling around Rome is very pleasant in good weather. For lovers of stories or history,  Rome would be the best place for you.

Sit back, relax and enjoy how we explore the incredible view of the city of Rome.

Your first stop in Rome should be the Colosseum, also known as The Flavian Amphitheatre which stands in the archaeological heart of Rome and welcomes large numbers of visitors daily. The building became known as the Colosseum because of a colossal statue that stood nearby. The building still remains today, a spectacle in itself. And It is the largest amphitheatre in the world, capable of presenting surprisingly complex stage machinery, as well as services for spectators. It requires an entry fee.

Right next to the Colosseum, you will find the Roman Forum, which is one of the most beautiful and interesting places in Rome, making it easy to spend hours strolling through its various temples without getting bored.  It is where religious and public life in ancient Rome took place. Besides, the great number of temples that are in the forum (Saturn, Venus, Romulus, Vesta, etc.) are  worth paying special attention to.

Your trip isn’t complete if you haven’t tossed a coin in Trevi Fountain. It is the largest fountain in the city and was named after its position: it’s at the meeting points of three streets (Trevi means Three Ways). If you believe in myths, you might want to toss a coin into the fountain. The number of coins being tossed will indicate different wishes. If you throw one coin, it means you wish to come back to Rome. Two coins means you will find your love in this city or you will fall in love with an attractive Italian. And if you toss three coins, some say you will get married to the person you have met , others say you will get married in Rome. So don’t forget to make a wish there. Actually, the fountain is always crowded, because everyone wants to make a wish here.

Have you heard of Vatican city, it’s actually an independent city-state in Rome. It’s the smallest country in the world, and its home to the Catholic Church’s spiritual leadership. There are lots of attractions to see in Vatican city. You need to spend time seeing the Vatican museums, which has an extensive collection of art and history. You shouldn’t also miss  the Sistine Chapel – that’s the pope’s chapel, which is used for the election of a new pope when there is a vacancy. Do not also miss the Gallery of Maps, that is covered with  geographical maps of the different regions of Italy, with most of the important towns and cities. Don’t leave Vatican city without checking the world’s largest basilica of Christianity- St. Peter’s Basilica. It’s the largest church in the world by interior measure.

For a picture moment, visit the Spanish Steps, it represents the close relationship between the Sacred and the Eternal city shown through elevation of movement.

If you’re looking for an amazing rooftop, you should head to Castel Sant’Angelo, which has been a fortress and prison. Today, the museum is known for its cultural and historical value.  It’s cylindrical shape is outstanding & the views you’d get are breathtaking!

Rome is city like no other because everywhere you turn, there’s something beautiful, historical, and amazing to see. It isn’t just a place but a feeling, and once you experience it, you’ll want to come back again.
