Red Light District

From prostitution to erotic shops and from museums to churches. Amsterdam Red Light District has it all. The name “Red Light District” comes from the use of neon red lights featured in the doorways of parlours. 

Street prostitution is illegal in public spaces and is banned but there is a designated area for legal street prostitution called “De Wallen” , the use of a red neon light in a doorway is a smart trick to attract customers. They are also regulated and controlled by police, tax and health authorities.

Canal Cruise

The best way to enjoy seeing Amsterdam is the canal cruise. You can take a cruise and escape from the bustle and hustle of the city. The beautiful canals are the signature of the city, leading through its heart and beyond. Amsterdam Poort

Amsterdam Poort is the largest shopping center in Amsterdam. It has a lovely structure and the gate , Dutch “Poort”, is at the border of Haarlem city centre. You can walk / bicycle under it. It is a real and historic building, great for some pictures or selfies.
